Seller Notes
Excellent condition but some cleaning marks and scratches to rear group. These only appear on the outer surfaces. Otherwise the glass is clean with no haze, fungus or balsam separation. I shot this lens many years about with a compendium shade and saw no image deterioration. As an undercoated lens some flair is to be expected so it should be shaded. Un-coated lenses are known to maintain more detail in shadows and provide more even tonality than coated lenses. These are characteristics necessary to consider when choosing a lens. Aperture is intact, works and is smooth. I painted white indicator dots on aperture ring to make it easier to use. Brass barrel retains its patina, which I find beautiful. Lens shade is bent in places. Overall, a nice lens that's over 100 years old.
